Hello Members,

Thank you all for the contributions. I first got the "Z80B PIO 6MHz Paralel
I/O" information (and a Z084 number that I could not find at the Zilog
website) from my collegue with the note that this component was obsolete and
he needed an alternative.

I started to search and I found the Sharp number as an alternative, but I
couldn't find any datasheet to verify this. So that's the point at which I
went to the chipdir...

Then I payed a visit to our technical service and asked which housing they
needed and then they told me that this chip wasn't obsolete at all! Our
distributor stopped with Zilog. The complete number was: Z84C2006PEC which
is still active! Arghhhh... The nummer I got in the first place was a mixed
version of the correct Z84 number, which did not exist!

Anyway, did some internet surfing for nothing in Boss time and sent an
screendump of the Zilog website to our buyer with an big arrow at the "Buy
now" button ;-)

Kind regards,

Elbert.
