I have deleted 537 lines from this e-mail - is your return key stuck?

Some recent virus took an e-mail address at random from a poor hapless
wondoze user's outlook adress book and used it as the "from" address.
You may not be sending them at all.

Presuming you are in windows,

1. Double check your own machine for viruses. If you have no virus
software try www.pspl.com who offer a 30 day free trial. The usual thing
is you get infected, and the virus takes over, and e-mails everyone in
your adress book with itself and some crap.

2. The information you to find out who is sending it is in the header.
Setting the option to 'show all headers' if you have it. What you then
do is look up the IP of the person/thing that sent it. This is routine
in linux, but messy in windoze.

Using this approach, and just looking at today's spam, I came up with
the IP adress 81.11.151.234 (The last "Received from" entry in the
headers. Looking up 81.11.151.234 with whois gave me

inetnum: 81.11.144.0 - 81.11.159.255
netname: PI-BELGIUM
descr: Planet Internet N.V.
descr: Belgian Dial-in Internet Provider

a lot of detail followed, including an address for abuse complaints.

3. Make a long range decision between torturing yourself running away
from viruses and torturing yourself setting up a reliable secure
operating system instead of windows.
