Wow! Thanks to Declan Moriarty and Sukandar Kartadinata

for both answering my immediate questions and for explaining
how to generally get the information I needed. The U.S. Peace Core
has a motto that says, "Give a man a fish and you have fed him for a
day. Teach him to fish and he will never see another hungry day."

I am certainly not new to the Internet by any means, but I
didn't know one could just download the chipdir archive.

Unix, by the way, has utilities for handling both zip files
and tar archives. The .tgz files unpack just fine with

tar zxf chipdir.tgz. Any of you using UNIX may have slightly
differing mileage using zip depending upon what version of UNIX you
use. It seems like I remember that Debian has a zip/unzip archiver
which will handle the kind of archives you use Winzip on, but I could
be mistaken. It was a year or two ago when I found out that .zip
files could be handled under UNIX and I have forgotten the fine
details of how I got things going.

Anyway, my thanks to all and have a happy new year.
