There is interest here in a project which will involve sending 100MB
network connections by IR over short distances. Can this be done?

A fresh design is needed. I have the idea, I just need the data on the
Network card. It seems to output to a transformer.

What I will need is Electronic Data to design a circuit onto a network
card RJ45 socket. I gather the hub/switch sockets are identical except
that transmit and receive pairs are swapped. I can find loads of wiring
standards, but no data on protocols or voltage levels, etc. Please do
not remind me of the various gimmicks already doing this. If anyone of
them did what I wanted, I'd be using it.

I did run into endless documentation on the web about wiring standards.
This also is superfluous, as I have experts as customers.
