Thanks Fred,
12 volts is fine. It's only running on three penlite batteries.
I'll look for the sub.
By the way where did you find the info?

Thanks again

Jim

Hello Group,
Does anybody have data for the 2N705 transistor.
I do not have case data nor am I concerned but it is supposed to be a high beta PNP.

Tim, you are half right. It's PNP as most germaniums are. It's specs are unimpressive... hFEmin=25. I would go with a silicon sub, say a 2N3640 (aka mps3640). Watch your collector voltage as the 3640 can only take 12V.

Fred

I just need one or a suitable cross for a really good guitar fuzz box but can not surf up anything on it.

Thanks

Jim
