Bob, I think you may have the part and date code swapped. The part reeks of a LM2904, which is a dual low power single supply op-amp in a SO-8 package. I could be wrong though.   Tony ------------------------------------------------------------- Reply to: Hi all, I have a chip that has the ST logo on it and two numbers: 2904 and 9420.  Its an 8-pin SOIC package.  I am assuming the 2904 is the date code.  I did a search on the ST site for "9420" and came up empty.  Does anyone have any idea what this chip might be?
