These main memory speeds are my question. ************************ is this output produced by 3 or by 5 diffferent computers? Here it suggests 5, but your text "How come the humble p233 > outsprints a k6-500? Which is real?" suggest that there are 3 of it. The presence of PC100 does not neccessarily mean that the membus is as fast. Sometimes faster memory is placed in a slower systeem because of availability. The slower speed is realised then. ************************ > > Unless the Intel chipsets are feeding the ram twice as fast, I fail to > see how these make sense. But how does memtest86 recognise that the CPU can run in different modes? And why are there 3 chipsets? Are they all on this card? ************************ > > I gather there is some difference in the way clock speeds are measured > between AMD and intel cpus.
