Sorry - It was the lighting and the fact that I'm going blind & senile.
It is actually 74BCT - some bright idea of Texas Instruments for Bus
applications. And it actually wasn't the problem at all - I have worked
it down now to a PAL :-((. I'll have to be nice to the manufacturer :-(.
