If getting one seccond-hand is an option for you :-) An Atari PortFolio has a 40 x 8 LCD display, with graphics facility... FYI: An Atari PortFolio is an ~ 1985 DOS mode palmtop. They used to be horribly expensive, but can sometimes be found seccond-hand nowadays. The LCD can (relatively) easily be removed from the computer box.
