"As other people have said, it's technically possible to build a 64-bit Python2 environment in which to run it currently. Packaging that is not a simple task, so I'm aiming to update the MacOS runtime once the Python3 work is done (or close enough)."
Oh goodness, yes, that seems like the most reasonable approach. Based on what people have said about the imminent demise of Python2, there's no reason to do a bunch of work to keep CHIRP Mac running on that after 10.15 comes out. Patty N6BIS
