I don't think it can be disabled, it would be nice if it could be programmed,
but it's there.
There is a menu setting for the button beep, but I don't remember what it is.
If you can read the display, tap the menu button and go through the menus, 0
and 1 or 01 and 2 are the typical ways to select an option.
