I programmed the KG-UV2d to operate in the 155 and 460 range. When I key the
PPT I get a tone but the transmit light does not come on.

It does transmit on the VFO frequencies.

I did a reset and re programmed, no change.

Any suggestions?

Thank you David, Nigel, and Tony!

David - your write up was thorough. I have been reading the FAQs and Beginner's
Guide before my post, but I will check again and I will dissect your notes as
well.

Nigel - That is a great question, as I do know that we have a license, but I
don't know the answer. We bought the VX261s from a dealer, but they are unable
to program the smaller radios for us since they were not purchased through
them. I will look into the license conditions. Thank you for bringing it to my
attention.

The error message I am receiving when I go to upload the frequencies to a new
R22 is:

Any known reason this would happen?

Deeply appreciate the knowledge share,

Becky

@Nigel, She may not be using the radios at all. She stated that she is only
programming the devices.

OK. Under which license will the radios be used?

If commercial, the dealer selling the radios would be expected to program them.
In any case, she, as an amateur programmer, needs to understand the license
conditions under which they will be used.

@Becky, can you help us by giving the exact error message(s) you received when
programming your Retevis radios?

Under which license will you be using the radios?

Hi !

I am an amateur radio programmer (meaning I have been nominated by my office to
program 30 radios).

I have 10 Retevis 22s who have successfully downloaded the frequencies from a
VX261. I have another 10 Retevis 22s that will come back as some sort of
program.

Any idea what is making it do that when I go to clone the frequencies?

THANKS!

Becky
