You need to execute the following in a terminal

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:dansmith/chirp-snapshots
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install chirp-daily

Then go to CONTROL Panel, SOFTWARE AND UPDATES and edit the CHIRP entry to 
point to XENIAL.
