Ah, thanks! I didn't think to hunt for the dev list. I honestly don't mean to come as "ungrateful" or just "snotty". I realize some key dependencies weren't available in python3 and it seems to be the solution was to rewrite the UI, which isn't a trivial task. I can also only imagine how much byte-string conversion code is in chirp, which is one of the major pain points in the python 2 to 3 transition.
A sincere thank you to everyone involved in building and maintaining Chirp. Especially given that it's supporting undocumented protocols, it works like a champ!
