Issue 1611: Harddrive activity while chrome is running

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start chrome
2. Visit any url (don't know if this is even necessary)
3.
What is the expected result?
Browser visits page, stops utilizing computer
What happens instead?
Sounds almost as the computer is defragmenting, something is clearly done
with the harddrives. Tried many times now, always stops when quitting
chrome. But what is happening, indexing of the disk? Still this is nothing
I want in my laptop where battery life is an issue.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
