Issue 1678: Chrome moves bookmarks and puts them elsewhere - Duplicate
bookmarks not possible? [POSSIBLE DATALOSS]
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1678
New issue report by ForChrome:
Product Version : 0.2.149.29 (1798)

Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 3:
Firefox 3: OK
IE 7: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to a page in your favorites.
2. Bookmark that page to a different folder.
3. Check your bookmarks. (It may not happen every time.)
What is the expected result?
Chrome leaves the original bookmark where it was and saves it in the new
location too.
What happens instead?
Chrome moves the bookmark out of it's original location and puts it in the
new location.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
This is a huge hassle if you want to save the currently open pages as a
session to go back later. If any of the current pages open are already in
your bookmarks, Chrome will move them without your knowledge and you may
lose them later.
