Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 3: Not tested
Firefox 3: OK
IE 7: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on a link to a Java Webstart application (.jnlp). File will
download but app does not run until explicitly open file.
2. Tick "Always open files of this type". Ignore first download.
3. Click on link again. File does not get opened by the browser, app does
not run.
What is the expected result?
The file will be downloaded and the Webstart application will automatically
start up because the browser has opened the file.
What happens instead?
The file is downloaded and sits in the browser waiting for the user to do
something with it.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Can provide screenshots if necessary, but I think the problem is pretty
clear.
Does not seem to be a problem for MS Office documents - they open
automatically.
