On Vista to set the fonts to the larger 120 DPI scaling, follow these  
instructions:

Start > Control Panel > Personalization > Adjust font size (DPI)

The attachment below shows how 120 DPI text looks like in Chrome and in  
Firefox.
Notice how much better it looks in Firefox.

I hope this problem is fixed in Chrome right away as it is a very severe  
problem.
