Issue 1097: Unable to enter the Tamil UNICODE Characters via Thamizha Phonetic IME http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1097
Comment #9 by tavultesoft: As Tavultesoft representative I am happy to assist in any way to find a resolution for this problem. We have noted this issue in both Chrome and Safari - neither use backspace in the same way as the majority of Windows applications. Windows applications tend to use the executeDeleteBackwardByDecomposingPreviousCharacter() function. Whether or not this is ideal is a good question but in my opinion, changing the behaviour of input between applications is not the right way to go - it must be at the input method (i.e. Keyman or NHM Writer or keyboard) level. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
