I contacted the user privately, and got this reply:

thank you for your follow up, however I think the reason for my situation
was the
following.
I installed Chrome and it migrated my bookmarks from Mozilla (Firefox 3),
however I had over 300 "Unfiled bookmarks" in Mozilla, so it looks like
when Chrome
migrated these bookmarks it put them in the main default bookmark list.
So when I accidentally clicked on "load all bookmarks", Chrome tried to
open all 300+
bookmarks, I don't need to ever open that many bookmarks all at once, so
please close
this issue, thanks.

Scott, I've seen some fixes come from you related to the Bookmark system.
Is this
something we should close as fixed already or do you want to try to
reproduce?
