Issue 2928: dowloads doesn't work after changing save to network-drive

Product Version : 0.2.149.30 & 0.2.153.1
URLs (if applicable) : any link with download (pictures, archives, etc.)
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 3: OK
Firefox 3: OK
IE 7: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. change download folder to network-drive
2. download anything from the web
3. download will stop or hang before completing download, amount of
reported minutes will increase or only "starting..." without doing
anything.
4. changing back to "desktop" will solve the problem and downloads will
complete.
What is the expected result?
complete download
What happens instead?
incomplete downloads
