Issue 151: Persisting Values in Form Fields http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=151
Comment #8 by armchairdj: Brad Neuberg @ Google would be a good internal resource for Chrome folks to chat with about this. He pioneered this approach to Ajax history management with Really Simple History, which also suffers because of this bug: http://code.google.com/p/reallysimplehistory/ To reiterate comment 7, this is not autofill, but persistence of form field values within a session. All other modern browsers allow you to partially fill a form, depart to another site, and use the back button to return to the original site - all without losing the values in the partially filled out form on the original site. The browser itself retains state on unsubmitted forms. If the express intent of the Chrome team is to play nice with expectations set by other modern browsers, this one definitely shouldn't be a will-not-fix. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
