Issue 2877: Advisory - Google Chrome Window Object Suppressing Denial of
Service
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=2877

Comment #21 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Apparently I wasn't entirely clear. Let me try to explain again:

1) THIS IS NOT A SECURITY ISSUE. For this to be a security issue, a users
must be at
risk of something. There is no "risk" other than that a user may browse to
a website
that then closes the current tab. If this was the only tab open, Google
Chrome will
close. A user may experience this as annoying, but he/she can just open a
new tab or
restart Google Chrome and continue browsing. Google Chrome is not "killed"
- the
application closes cleanly when the last tab is closed.

2) THIS IS NOT HIGH SEVERITY. It is unlikely that a significant number of
users is
affected by this and triggering the bug has a very small impact.

3) THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. It was publicly reported on September 5th to
WebKit (bug
20661) and Chromium (bug 1447) by me.
