Comment #5 by whessedk: I have copied the Release directory of the build that reproduces the bug, and saved it. A new build of Chromium with bleeding-edge V8 does not have the problem. The steps that created the build with a problem were: gsync the workspace, landing the webkit merge. Revision numbers were: /src 2788 /src-internal 177 /src/data/esctf 134135 /src/v8 408 Build all of Chrome, the entire solution gvn update /src/v8 to 414 Build test-shell project At this point, the Chrome exe reproducibly hung when expanding a certain email thread's earlier message. The release directory saved at this point. Build chrome.exe The problem disappears. Problem still there when the saved release directory is used.
