This is most likely the same as Issue 93 (exhibits the same behavior,  
freezes the
entire browser, etc.)

There is a potential fix to this issue in a recent build:
http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-xp/2744/chrome-win32.zip

No need to uninstall Chrome -- just download and unzip this file, then run  
chrome.exe
inside the extracted folder.

This fix should also be in the dev channel, so if you're subscribed to the  
dev
channel, you should already have it.

Please try this out and let us know if it fixes the problem for you!
