Issue 565: By default Chrome precedes the address with "http://"; when a
transfer protocol is not given
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=565

Comment #9 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
* Enter ftp.microsoft.com in the address bar and hit enter. IE7/FF3/Safari4
navigate
to ftp://ftp.microsoft.com but Chrome navigates to http://ftp.microsoft.com
which
results in error page

By default any request that doesn't have a transfer protocol is given
http:// which
is causing the issue
Try ftp.abcd.com -- All browsers except chrome precede the address with
ftp://

Issue attribute updates:
Summary: By default Chrome precedes the address with "http://"; when a
transfer protocol is not given
        Status: Untriaged
