I've moved the Windows-specific bits out of the main tree (they're pulled
in via
DEPS), and updated the build instructions with how to avoid this (by
overrides in
your .gclient). I think this has been fixed.
Issue 1543 is on making this even simpler, but that's a more complicated
task.
