Issue 3524: Alt+D causes a system beep
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3524

New issue report by mitchell.mebane:
Chrome Version : 0.2.149.30 (2200) / Chromium 0.3.155.0 (Developer
Build 3502)
URLs (if applicable) : N/A
Other browsers tested:
      Safari 3: OK
     Firefox 3: OK
IE 7: Proprietary behavior, but OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Focus the browser outside of the address bar (such as by clicking on the
content frame)
2. Press Alt+D

What is the expected result?
The address bar gains focus

What happens instead?
The address bar gains focus, but causes a system beep

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

I am used to using Alt+D to focus the address bar from the days of IE, when
Alt+D focused the bar and Ctrl+L brought up a separate window. Both Alt+D
and Ctrl+L work in Firefox, Safari, Opera, and IE, although IE still brings
up a separate dialog box with Ctrl+L.

Ctrl+L works fine on Chrome/Chromium with, just as expected, with no beep.
Alt+D also works, albeit with an annoying beep.

If it's of any use, I'm running WinXP Pro SP3.

Suggested resolution: Fix Alt+D to focus the address bar without causing a
beep.
