This doesn't reproduce very easily for me, but I have seen it a few times.
I get this
assertion before the crash in a debug build.
23784:14116:824104828:FATAL:render_view_host_manager.cc(71)] Check failed:
!interstitial_render_view_host_. Should have been deleted by Hide
Doing it in one tab, and then opening a new tab seems to make it happen
more.
