Comment #2 by andrewteaotonga: I have an identical problem. My IE will not load https sites of any kind ... and neither will Chrome. I see Chrome is using the settings from IE, so a problem with the IE means a problem for chrome. Why did Google make it like that - surely it does not need to rely on IE for functionality.
