The problem with Ctrl-F is that it takes (at least) two key extra key  
presses for
every single link you want to open. The use case for type-ahead find is  
opening not
primarily finding text, but focusing hyperlinks -- especially when opening  
multiple
links in background tabs with ctrl-enter.

I'm confused about the "enter and shift-enter" comment as well -- I don't  
have Chrome
installed at the moment but surely "enter" on a found link should open the  
link,
while "shift-enter" should open it in a new window?
