Issue 4577: Missing exe after reboot. Happened after latest XP updates

Attached is the screen shot of the latest updates.
These were the updates installed on the day Chrome stopped working.
Microsoft Security Update for Windows XP: KB957097, KB954459, KB55069
There is also a Security update for IE 7: KB956390 which was installed
about a week
before. It was still working at this point though.
