New issue 4844 by willdye: Chrome window starts up off-screen, can't grab the titlebar to move it down http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4844 Chrome Version : 0.4.154.25 URLs (if applicable) : (Not applicable) Other browsers tested: None What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Reconfigured my monitors and multi-screen arrangement 2. Start up Chrome as a browser or as an app (same results) What is the expected result? Chrome should come up with the top title bar visible. What happens instead? The top title bar of Chrome is located well above the physical screen. I'm unable to grab the title bar to move Chrome back down. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. This only happened after I'd reconfigured my monitor arrangement. One monitor was replaced with a lower-resolution monitor. The relative position of the screens was also changed -- the monitor on the left was now on the right, the monitor on the right was now on the left. Both before and after the reconfiguration, the monitors had different resolutions. See the attached screen shots for details. I was unable to recreate the problem by tweaking minor things like resolution on the Windows "Display Properties" control panel, but then again I didn't try very hard. Sorry, but I'm not getting paid for this, so I can't spend much time on it. I have an Nvidia driver installed, which has been known to affect screen positioning, though in this case I don't think that Nvidia played a role. Good luck. I look forward to seeing the patch. I strongly suspect that the relevant code is platform-specific, so if you want me to run the tests again in Linux (once Chrome works in Linux), feel free to ask.
