Comment #19 on issue 150 by [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Type-ahead-find http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=150
I would also like to see this in Chrome. I decided to try out Chrome because I was bothered by the memory footprint of Firefox but I have gotten so used to type-ahead- find in Firefox that I keep trying to do it (along with mouse gestures) in Chrome. Anything that can speed up my browsing experience is great and this feature does - when I load up a documentation page and need to lookup a specific term I can just start typing it. If the first find isn't what I want, I hit F3 and it moves on to the next. I'm not sure I agree with the argument that type-ahead-find can be confusing to the user as I don't think it would be any more confusing to the user than mouse gestures (someone who doesn't know about mouse gestures accidentally slides the mouse to the left when right-clicking and are sent back a page ... what the?) and yet I don't think you'd find many people (I could be wrong here) that would say mouse gestures are confusing to the user and so shouldn't be added. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
