The problem you reported has been fixed.
The Google Chrome browser updates silently so you will always have the
latest fixes
and features. GoogleUpdate.exe checks periodically for those updates,
downloads them
and installs them for you.
Chromium is the basis for Google Chrome but it is missing the update
feature.
