New issue 5147 by eylony: downloaded files get double extension http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5147 Chrome Version : 0.4.154.31 Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: OK Firefox 3: OK IE 7: OK Sometimes, mostly for video (avi) files, when I download them, the file we be downloaded with a double extension. If the file name is file.avi then it will be downloaded as file.avi.avi What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. go to a url with a video. 2. download it 3. see the file name on the hard disk What is the expected result? file name with its original name. What happens instead? it gets a double name extension I am trying to find out exactly when this happens.
