Which version have you updated to? You can get version details from
about:version
The latest dev release (0.4.154.33) actually fixes the Hotmail problems.
There
haven't been many reports of unable to read Hotmail email, just unable to
compose new
email (Issue 4111). What is your OS and what firewall and antivirus to you
have?
While we wait for Hotmail to recognize Chrome properly, you will need to
change the
user-agent when testing Hotmail. See:

The 0.4.154.33 release is a dev channel only release. If you're currently
not
subscribed to the dev channel, you might want to consider taking a look.
