@Finnur : thank you very much for your considerate response; I have read  
the relevant
thread of the developers' forum, and it shows in all clarity that the  
problem stems
from the software being developed using proprietary tools, in ways that  
most probably
violate the letter and spirit of the 'free software' license you /chose/ to  
adhere
to. [but IANAL]

That was very instructive reading indeed and again thank you for pointing  
it out. I
(again) hope you (the team) will reconsider the option of building the  
product in a
way that does not require the use of proprietary (and expensive) tools,  
thus allowing
other developers to customise it for the platforms of their choice, in the  
spirit of
/true/ free (libre) software.
