New issue 5815 by yourvishonline: BSOD on restarting the browser after an auto-update (happened at least 3 times) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5815 Chrome Version : 1.0.254.42 (After AU, till then, I was in the dev release that happened just before the out-of-beta release) URLs (if applicable) : NA Other browsers tested: NA Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: NA Firefox 3: NA IE 7: NA What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Install Dev channel of Chrome 2. When there is an update available, goto "About Chrome" dialog so that Chrome downloads the update for you. 3. When Chrome asks you to restart the browser, goto Settings->Exit(so that all the windows remain intact on a browser restart) What is the expected result? Chrome should exit and complete the AU process. On clicking on the chrome button on the desktop, I should see the newly installed version. What happens instead? Chrome gives a windows Blue screen of death (BSOD). On restarting the machine, Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. - This has happened at least 3 times for me.
