Comment #2 on issue 6001 by krtulmay: HTML tables should have a specific context-menu to allow opertions like sorting. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=6001
Copy table data maybe, but definitely do NOT provide a Sort by header context menu option! There cannot be ANY reason that any browser modifies/alters/or adds any functionality to any webpage other than intended by the webpage author, and allowing table display re-sorting would be such a transgression! What if the webpage author wants the table to display as is? But regardless, browsers and other user-agents cannot modify the content they download. If the webpage author wants to allow sorting of his table data, he can integrate table sorting code like the stuff from kryogenix.org. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
