A simple case:
http://go/reductions/6027/test-standard.html
This has different behavior in different browsers.
In Chrome, no space is inserted, cursor stays in current position.
In IE, a space is inserted and wrapped to the next line, cursor is
displayed after
the space.
In Firefox, a space is inserted in the current line, cursor is displayed
after the
space, a horizontal scrollbar of the textarea is displayed.
In Safari, a space is inserted in the current line, cursor is displayed
after the
space, but no horizontal scrollbar is displayed.
