Comment #4 on issue 2076 by [email protected]: Insert text appears at the
end of original text instead of where cursor was placed
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=2076

The url in the orignal report does not exist any more, but I can reproduce
it at
http://www.cantoneseinput.com/

1. Type 'beijing' and press '1' to get '北京'
2. type a random English string 'abcdefgh'
3. Change lines
4. type another random English string 'blah blah'
5. Put cursor after '北京'
6. Type 'deng' and press '2' to get '釘'
7. '釘' should be after '北京' in the 1st line, but it's actually
after 'blah blah'

Actually, you don't need to type any Chinese characters at all. Just using
random
sequences of Latin letters are sufficient to reproduce this problem.

Safari has exactly the same issue. Have to report at the upstream. The site
itself
may be to (at least partially) blame.
