Comment #36 on issue 4871 by unknown.unit: REGRESSION: <space> no longer scrolls web content in Trunk builds http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4871
There is a new problem possibly related to this fix, using 2.0.157.0 (Developer Build 8000): Run a google search. Once you have the results there are the two text boxes to edit your search parameters, one at the top of the page, one at the bottom. Typing a space in the top text box causes the page to scroll instead of entering a space in the text box. Typing a space in the bottom text box enters a space instead of scrolling. The top box changes color to show that it is selected and anything except a space is entered in the text box, so it is not me making a mistake and clicking outside the box. This also happened on another site with a similar top/bottom change search parameters pair, but I cannot recall the site name now. The most recent version I have tested in which this problem does not occur is 2.0.157.0 (Developer Build 7853,) which makes it seem likely this fix broke the top text box. Perhaps I should have added this as a new bug, but I thought it seemed very much related to this one and may mean this fix needs to be re-visited. If I should instead open a new bug report I will do so. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
