New issue 6454 by iceman400: tab strip is improperly positioned in vista http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=6454 Chrome Version : Chromium 2.0.157.0 (Developer Build 8021 & 8085) URLs (if applicable) : Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: Firefox 3:ok IE 7:ok What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. open a new window. 2. maximize it 3. What is the expected result? the top of the tab strip aligns perfectly with the top of the screen (like in previous versions) What happens instead? the tab strip appears to be a bunch of pixels too high, to the tops get sliced off. see attached screenshot. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. i'm running vista home premium 32-bit with aero enabled, slightly customized (just the color of the glass). also, when opening a new (non maximized window) it seems to me like the tab strip is positioned too high here as well, so perhaps the problem is not in the maximizing code, but in the tab strip placement (which i hope is less of a hassle to fix). when reading through the revision history, i noticed that a change to the interface was introduced to fix a non-aero problem with the tab strip in revision 7976. i didn't check if this revision introduced the problem, but it sure looks that way.
