New issue 7012 by djdbgr: Chrome won't update/connect to update server on Windows 7 Beta http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=7012 Chrome Version : 1.0.154.43 URLs (if applicable) : Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: ok Firefox 3: ok IE 7: ok What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Download latest version from Google Chrome's official site and install on Windows 7 Beta 2. Open Chrome and go to "About Google Chrome" 3. No info for update status is available What is the expected result? Chrome should show if the version that i'm using is the latest one and if there is a newer one. What happens instead? No message appears on the bottom of the About window. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Even if i change channel and select Dev or Beta (via Channel Chooser) nothing happens. I'm not able to update, as no message appears where it should.
