I am not able to reproduce this issue in build 2.0.160.0 (Developer Build
8803) yet,
but from your description, I think it may be a duplicate of issue 7082,
which is a
common content-blank/text-disappear issue in 2.0.159.0.
You may download a later chrome build to check if you still experience the
problem:

Mark it as a duplicate of issue 7082 tentatively.
Feel free to comment if you still suffer from this problem in the later
build.
