Comment #4 on issue 3767 by stueeross: No way to pin the Ctrl+F bar http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3767
I must agree. The fact that the search box disappears when opening a new tab is annoying, but what really gets me is when you do CTRL+F yet again, the search history has been cleared. Not even the most recent word is there, so once again we have to type or paste in the query. It doesn't seem like the search-within-page function has been thought out at all, which is surprising considering this browser was made by GOOGLE!! Of course I am aware that each tab is a separate process, etc., but there's no reason why the search function couldn't be another independent process. In fact that would appear to be the solution. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
