Comment #18 on issue 516 by anlazt: Non-roman characters (e.g. Asian characters) are not displayed properly. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=516
I have the same problem on my XP SP2. All UTF-8 shows up as black dots. The obvious ones are the google labs on gmail. All my 2-bytes Asian character (Chinese) document names and calendar items shared by other folks show up as that. Only google chrome as this problem, the rest of the system display UTF-8 asian characters correctly, including firefox, IE, safari (whichever version, as it's been that way all along). -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
