Hey Anthony,
It seems that this feature mostly works, but that someone needs to
investigate the edge cases ("Whether we
restore likely has to do with how the page was created."). From talking
with Scott, this would require digging into
the webkit code that handles this, which probably isn't a high priority at
this point.
