Additionally chrome filled all my 8GB of memory when starting and slow my
whole computer down. It seem to
be due to "History" weighting 9.83 GB and "History Index 2009-02" weighting
13.4GB in my chrome profile...
What is strange is that as a 32 bits process it shouldn't be able to take
so much memory, and as you could see
in the attached screenshot it doesn't really... But as soon as
launched "something" is using a lot of memory
and growing, as soon as i kill the child chrome.exe process (the first
tab ?) the memory used stop to grow but
is still used and goes down when i kill the last chrome.exe process (UI ?)
I believe that the "something" may be the kernel component of my NOD32
antivirus... but i don't know
enough of the way antivirus product interact with vista to know how they
hook file access, anyway the
memory wasn't attributed to the antivirus service (ekrn.exe)
Anyway this problem have gone away by removing all history files and
doesn't seem to have something to do
with the SVG crash. If you are interested the issue seem to be linked to a
chrome crash that occured while
no-one was in from of my computer with "Crash uploaded.
Id=f1eff9372b032c8d" in the windows event log.
